What is the Activity Log?

The Activity Log contains a list of all the changes that have ever been made to your company data and by whom.

By default, the Activity Log displays only the 200 most recent activities, but it's easy to see previous ones.

Using the Activity Log

  1. Open the Activity Log.
(Or, from the Company menu, choose Activity Log.)
  2. There are several ways to view the Activity Log:
    • To limit the view to specific users, dates, or types of activities, click Customize. Tell me more.
    • To control which columns are shown and printed, click Change Columns. Tell me more.
    • To open a transaction noted in the Activity column, click its link.
    • To see a history of the activity, click in the History column. Tell me more.
    • To view more activities, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click More.
  3. To print the current view of the Activity Log (except that the History column doesn't print), click Print. For best results, select Landscape orientation from your browser's Print dialog box.

Your activity log includes all your stories, organized by the date they happened on Facebook. This means when you add a life event to your Timeline, it will show up in your activity log on the day you added it, not the day of the event itself. Keep in mind only you can see your activity log.

By default, your activity log shows your activity from the current year, starting with your most recent activity. Click on a year (in the top-right corner) to jump directly to that time.

The audience icons to the right of each story show you who the story was shared with.

You can also control which stories appear on your Timeline.

How do I use my activity log to hide or remove stories?

  1. Go to your activity log
  2. Find the story you're looking for
  3. The audience selector below the story shows you who the story is shared with
  4. Click Delete or Hide From Timeline below certain stories to delete or hide them from your Timeline
Keep in mind stories you hide from your Timeline may still be visible to the audience they're shared with other places on Facebook, such as in News Feed and search.
