A bursa (plural bursae or bursas; Latin: Bursa synovialis) is a small fluid-filled sac located at the point where a muscle or tendon slides across bone. Bursae serve to reduce friction between the two moving surfaces. There are hundreds of them throughout the body. Bursa is Latin for purse, which is what a bursa resembles.

Infection or irritation of a bursa leads to bursitis (inflammation of a bursa). The general term for disease of bursae is "bursopathy".

Q :- 

내 우측 에 멍울이 잡히는데 걱정 안해도 되는 건지. 마우스를 많이 써서 그런지 어깨가 한 동안 아파했었어. 지금은 괜찮은데 멍울이 잡혀. 아프지는 않고. 적출한다면 약 4,5 cc는 될것 같은데. 사진 우측 2장.  올리니 보고 판단좀 해주기를. larger image A :- 위치나 모양으로봐서는 점액낭/활액낭(bursa)인 것 같은데요. 그렇다면 낭종이니만큼 만졌을때 좀 물컹한 느낌이 있을 것이고요. 만약 임파절이라면 (흔한 부위는 아니지만) 좀 딱딱한 느낌이 있을거고요. 주사기로 빼내면 점액낭의 경우 약간 노랗고 끈적한 젤리같은 것이 흡인되어 나올거에요. 정형외과에 한 번 다녀요세요.( 의사 신택수)
