Why Study History?
The goal and objective of studying history is to determine who we are,
because WE ARE the past: we are the sum of all the events--good, bad, and indifferent--that have happened to us.
The sum product of the past guides our actions in the present. .
We study the past to understand the present;
we understand the present to guide the future.
History is not the learning the facts about the past but the interpretation of facts that you study.
Studying history makes you realize what mistakes human society has done in the past and what should be done not to repeat it.
